Team TUNDRA at BYD PURE GAMES 2026: Race Hard, Then Get In

BYD PURE GAMES 2026 took over Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on Orchard Road on the 26th and 27th of September. PURE built a fitness festival in the middle of the city, and TUNDRA had two jobs in it: run the cold plunges in the Re:set by PURE recovery zone, and race.

Team TUNDRA, on the floor and then in the water.

On the floor

We entered a team. Green shirts, the TUNDRA mark on the chest, and a format that moves from the erg to the sled to the dumbbells to the rower with very little air in between. It is the kind of race where you find out quickly what your legs think of your plans.

Between stations, there is only the next one.

Re:set by PURE

Next to the race floor sat the recovery zone. Re:set by PURE is the recovery format PURE runs in its Hong Kong clubs, and this weekend was its first outing in Singapore. TUNDRA and Therabody were its two special event partners. Therabody brought compression and percussion. We brought the cold.

Three TUNDRA plunges under one tent, two communal tubs and a single. At the entrance, PURE's coaches worked from a protocol board with three ways in: before a race, after a race, and after leg day. The line printed across the backdrop said it better than we could. Recovery is part of the game.

The water

Orchard Road at the end of September is not a cool place. People came off the race floor, read the board, looked at the water for a moment, and got in. A lot of them came out laughing.

Two communal tubs and a single, running both days.

Then we got in

The best part of building a recovery zone is getting to use it. Race done, shirts off, and straight into our own water.

If you are planning one of these

The build went in on the Friday morning, with the venue's plumbing team on hand for the inlet and outlet connections. That is worth arranging in advance. A plunge is quick to set up and slow to fill if nobody knows where the water is.

Cold water is a lead time, not a switch. We asked to keep the chillers running through the first night so the tubs were at temperature when the gates opened on Saturday. On a site where every socket is already spoken for, that is a conversation to have before the build, not on the night.

Teardown ran overnight after the gates closed on Sunday, with power kept on for the pumps that drain the tubs, and the plaza handed back before Monday morning.

The communal plunge. Built for a group, not a queue, which is exactly what a festival needs.

Events & pop-ups

Recovery zones for races, festivals and brand activations, built and run by our own team.

Plan an event

More than the event kit

Most people meet us at a weekend like this one, so it is worth saying what else we build. Solid cold plunges for homes, gyms and hotels, made to stay where they are put. Saunas in Finnish cedar, infrared and steam. And custom builds, drawn around your room, rooftop or wellness floor rather than around a catalogue page.

If you are choosing a unit rather than booking an event, start with the ice bath buyer's guide.

Thank you

To PURE Singapore and the Re:set by PURE team, for building recovery into the festival instead of next to it. To Therabody, for sharing the tent. To BYD, the title partner. And to everyone who crossed Orchard Road in race kit and then climbed into cold water anyway.

Bring TUNDRA to your event

Races, festivals, gym openings, brand activations and weekends exactly like this one. We build the recovery experience, cold, heat, compression and massage, and run it with our own team across Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila and Jakarta. Planning something? Return to yourself.
