Over the first weekend of August, TUNDRA set up between the pool and the palms at FOC Beach Club for Good Vibes Social, two days of recovery alongside MOVE REPEAT.
Most of our beach setups are a cold plunge and a queue. This one was built differently, and the difference is the whole story.

The communal plunge under the palms at FOC Beach Club.
Hot and cold, not just cold
We brought two communal Oasis units, one heated and one chilled, plus a Yukon Large running cold for anyone who wanted the deeper single plunge. Both Oasis tubs sat on Borealis, which heats and chills the same water, so one piece of equipment covers both ends of the contrast.
Cold on its own is a strong experience and a slightly intimidating one. Give people somewhere warm to go straight afterwards and the whole thing changes. They stay longer, they cycle through more than once, and the people watching from the side eventually get in too. On a beach club deck in August, warm water sounds like a strange offer right up until you have felt what it does after ninety seconds in the cold.

Boots by the pool
Five pairs of FLUX compression boots ran on the loungers across both days, with five TUNDRAGUN LUX units in rotation beside them. Twenty minutes in a pair of boots with a drink in hand is the easiest sell at any event we do.

Three guides, two days
Three TUNDRA recovery guides worked the weekend, managing water temperature and hygiene and doing the part that actually matters, which is talking a first-timer through their first thirty seconds. Equipment without staff gets used by the confident few. Staffed, it gets used by everyone.
Why a beach club is harder than it looks
Outdoor venues photograph beautifully and are not easy. Ambient temperature works against the chiller all day, power is rarely where you want it, and there is no back of house to hide anything in. Two things we plan for every time. Cooling takes hours, not minutes, so the build goes in well ahead of doors rather than on the morning. And filtration runs continuously, because a communal tub over two days sees a lot of people.

Shop nowMore than the event kit
Plenty of people meet us at an activation like this and assume events are all we do. The travelling fleet is the visible part of a much bigger catalogue. Solid cold plunges built as permanent installations for homes, gyms and hotels. Saunas in Finnish cedar, infrared and steam. And custom builds, designed around your rooftop, balcony, gym floor or spa rather than around a catalogue page.
For the hot and cold setup specifically, start with ice bath versus sauna, or the ice bath buyer's guide if you are working out which unit suits you.
Thank you
Thanks to MOVE REPEAT and to FOC Beach Club for the weekend, and to the three guides who ran both days.
