TUNDRA at Mercedes-Benz Studio Singapore

Mercedes-Benz opened its Studio at Gardens by the Bay in August. Not a showroom. A cultural destination, built around how people live now rather than what they drive.

For the opening community weekend, the Studio invited three partners to shape the experience: adidas Run Club, Rapha, and TUNDRA.

We built the recovery.

Two mornings, 29 and 30 August. Runners came off the route, cyclists came off the road, and everyone came to the same place afterwards: a row of loungers under the Studio canopy, with TUNDRA Flux compression boots and TUNDRAGUN™ LUX percussion therapy running all morning.

Ten to twenty minutes in the boots. Five chambers, ankle to hip, each one independently controlled, up to 250 mmHg. It is the least dramatic thing we make and the one people ask about most, because after a hard session it is the only recovery that asks nothing of you except that you sit down.

Why this one mattered to us

Most of what we do is chosen by people who already know they want cold water, or compression, or heat. This was different.

The Studio’s brief was about craft: the same attention to considered detail that Mercedes-Benz applies to its own work, asked of everyone they invited in. Being on a partner list with adidas and Rapha is not a reach metric. It is a standard, and we were asked to meet it.

That is the bar we build to anyway. Five generations of the Borealis chiller, every one redesigned around something that failed in this climate first. Delivery, installation and service handled locally in five cities rather than shipped from somewhere else. None of it is glamorous engineering. All of it is why a brand like this can put its name next to ours.
